Amb. G. Y. Gotom furious with government’s inability to protect citizens and condole the people of Kukawa and Kanam LG over the recent attack by insurgents.

The Plateau Central zone senatorial aspirant, Amb. G. Y. Gottom has again raised his voice at the Nigerian government over their inability to live up to their primary responsibility of protecting the lives and property of citizens they vowed to.
Responding to the recent attack by insurgents on the people of Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur and Keram villages in Kanam LG which left over 15 persons dead, Amb. Gottom said the Federal government has tolerated this barbaric act against humanity for long and need to be corrected: “this is highly condemnable and should not be tolerated by any sane or right thinking Nigerian government”
He questioned government’s loyalty to the sovereignty of Nigeria as a country with reference to the recent attack by insurgents in different parts of the country: “i am still trying to place correctly how some of these attacks are giving preferential response and some ignored even when destruction of lives and property are involved”
The Ambassador made a passionate plea to the government on behalf of his constituency and other affected regions within the country to live up to their constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of Nigerians.
The Ambassador called on the federal government to provide shelter and relief materials for displaced persons pending when they will be returned to their ancestral lands. He then condole the families of victims of the attack and pray that God Almighty grant eternal rest to those that have lost their lives in the attack and give their families the heart to bear the lost.
